Out at the 3 Seasons Drive-In loated in Mahtomedi, MN with Aaron.
I was eating at DQ yesterday and Aaron mentioned that I’d probably be better off driving the extra two miles down to the 3 Seasons Drive-in for lunch. Today I asked if he wanted to meet for lunch and that’s exactly where we ended up.
Driving up MN-244 towards it, it looks like a tiny 50s drive-in complete with oversized menu sign and glass bricks diner style. Inside you are greeted with a u-shaped counter and plenty of booth seating (something that Aaron says was added more recently in the restaurant’s history).
We took a seat at the counter and took a look over the menu. Most of the items were in the $8 to $9 range (there were some that were more) and made our choices. Aaron had mentioned that their rootbeer was *very* good. Their Supreme Grilled Cheese looked good (bacon, tomatoes, cheese, and sourdough) so I went with that and a side of fries to join the famous rootbeer ;) Aaron, of course, ordered a regular grilled cheese and fries to go along w/his rootbeer.
Our rootbeer arrived first in a large mug. It wasn’t frosted like A&W but the rootbeer was *fantastic*. Very heavy on the syrup and full of flavor. Refills were free and I was quite happy with it. I’m actually craving one right now and I just left.
The grilled cheeses were out soon thereafter (I was at the restaurant for only 25 minutes which is great for lunch!) and while I wasn’t overly impressed with the sandwich it was still good and the fries were excellent.
Overall a great location and one that I will return to frequently. I will probably even bring Kim up here for some food, rootbeer, and dessert. I know she’ll love it.

I work at 3 Seasons and just saw this here. If you ever go in for breakfast, get the Taco Omelette. It is my favorite dish there. Also, for lunch and dinner, make sure you get some Kick It Up sauce. It made me stop eating ketchup on everything.

I haven’t been there in a while (since February) but have always enjoyed it.
Thanks for the comment!

I live in the neighborhood, and eat there often. They hired a new chef recently, and he is really breathing new life into the menu.
Try the Baked Potato Soup. It is amazing!!!

Me and my family eat there once a month or so.
Great food.
It’s listed wrong at Google maps. Google says they are at 1164 shore line or some such address. The correct address is 114 Mahtomedi Ave Mahtomedi, MN 55115.
I think the owner needs to fix this by going to his buisness account at Google and correcting the address. Maybe he put in his home address.
