From the Star Tribune’s South Metro Police Blotter:
I wouldn’t fault this kid for running away:
Missing person. According to Apple Valley Police Chief Scott Johnson, it’s not unusual to take a runaway report and an occasional report of a lost child or an adult who didn’t return home. What is unusual is that the department had eight such reports last week. With the exception of a runaway teenager who has not yet been found, all have been accounted for, including a 14-year-old girl reported missing by her mother. The officer insisted that the mother begin by checking for her daughter in their house. The mother found her daughter asleep in another room.
Do us all a favor and feed her to the wolves already:
Zoo complaint. A dispatcher received a telephone call from a visitor at the Minnesota Zoo. She wanted the police to respond to the zoo. She said that in the wolf exhibit, three wolves killed another wolf in front of the children watching them. Police were unsure if the woman wanted police to arrest the wolves, so the matter was referred back to the zoo.

“The mother found her daughter asleep in another room.”
That’s good parenting there.
