Burnsville Center is a huge disappointment for me. So glad the MOA is close to us in Apple Valley. My mom and I tried to do some very simple Christmas shopping at Burnsville this year, and once we arrived we realized that they didn’t have an Abercrombie (my cousin wanted some clothes from there - I know, I know, Abercrombie - what can I say; my cousin has no taste). They also didn’t have a Banana Republic. I thought that these were normal stores found in every mall. Anyway, we ended up having to go to the MOA. I hope Burnsville revamps the mall soon. It’s like a ghost town.

As for the RNC - I’m ashamed that it is occurring in my state.

sornie, clearly you need to get out more:

Does Scott County have a riverfront landfill with a spectacular panoramic view of downtown Minneapolis, a riverfront sandstone mine, and a defunct riverfront driving range? No.

Does Scott County have any brand new old downtowns? No.

Does Scott County have a Hooters? No.

Does Scott County have a wonderfully smooth newly paved unused transit parking lot where children can rollerblade in the shade of massive, massive dirt piles? Nope.

Have you seen how far you have to drive in Scott County to get to the nearest municipal liquor store?? Not here!

In Scott County, if Super Target is out of something, you’d have to have them call around to other stores to check availability. Here, you can just walk to the other Super Target and check. Or the other Super Target. Or go five miles down 35 to the other Super Target.

And if you think watching horses race around in circles is entertainment, pull a lawn chair out in front of the AV traffic circle for a few hours on a Saturday afternoon.

Who needs Scott County!

Wait a minute, Dakota County has destinations? This is news to me. Scott County wins this battle just by having Mystic Lake and Canterbury.
