From the StarTribune’s South Metro Police Blotter:
In reality he was in Lakeville on his way to Hastings:
Accident. Officers arrived on the scene of a crash at the intersection of 170th Street and Cedar Avenue, where they found that a vehicle had been stopped at the intersection, waiting for the light to change to green, and a second car had rear-ended it. The driver of the rear vehicle was arrested for drunken driving. When the officers asked the driver if he knew where he was, he looked at them and said of course he knew where he was — he was in Golden Valley and on his way to Plymouth.
Do you think that this guy thought he was really in Apple Valley and not Golden Valley?

If you are involved in an alcohol related traffic accident, You lose your papers and end up humping the LRT for awhile. It’s completely stupid.
If I am ever involved in an accident where a drunk hits, bumps, or scratches my vehicle, I will gladly pound the living shit out of the driver, and claim self defense. After all, the driver attacked me with a deadly weapon, I have every right to defend myself.
Don’t argue with my logic, it’s my opinion. :)
For the record, I have no alcohol related traffic violations.

I think this guy is a dumb ass wherever he thought he was.
The longer I’ve been around the more I feel a need to start driving a large vehicle. The same ones I’ve always ripped on for being gas guzzlers. There are too many idiots like this out there and mass is your friend. Good gas mileage doesn’t mean much if you’re dead.

Hmm..that could have been me (being hit that is!). I live just a few houses off 170th and Cedar so I’m stopped at that intersection all the time. I drive a Suburban though so I guess I would have been ok.

For those of you who read the comments via RSS, I have no idea why Google Reader wasn’t pulling the feed for the last 5 days. It seems to be working again. Google is dumb.

Thanks for posting this; it gave me a good laugh. At first, I thought that maybe he was flustered and said “Golden” instead of “Apple”, but the fact that he thought he was on his way to Plymouth… Well, it’s scary to be sharing a road with him!

As long as it doesn’t become self aware we should be ok–right? :)
