According to this Dakota County Criminal Complaint a Farmington man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance after he was arrested by officers in the middle of the highway for obstructing traffic and screaming.
From the complaint:
On November 25, 2011, Farmington Police officers were alerted by motorists that a man was standing in the middle of the highway yelling and blocking traffic in the city of Farmington, Dakota County, Minnesota. The officers located the man who identified himself as the above-named defendant, Jesse Uriah Gallagher. The defendant was agitated and kept screaming at the officers. After he was calmed down and handcuffed, officers searched him and found a small pink pill in his right coin pocket. The defendant stated that he had taken Celexa, Suboxone, and smoked some pot. He stated that he had gotten the Suboxone from his “home boy” and that he did not have a prescription for it.
Are you at all concerned with the number of South Metro residents abusing prescription drugs and the effects its having on them? Are you concerned that with the increase in abuse of these types of drugs that we’ll see more and more erratic behavior? What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever seen happen which caused you to the call the police? Whatever you have to say about pill heads and their “home boys” go ahead and comment on as I’d love to hear your thoughts.

It is almost hard to believe how easy it is to get prescription drugs to people who did not have them prescribed to them. The number of college students who have access to Adderall, “the smart pill” is hard to fathom when you think that every one of those pills was prescribed to someone who then chose to sell them at 30 bucks a dose.
I don’t know if it is the drug companies pushing doctors to over prescribe, the doctors who give it to kids who don’t even use the pills or that the people who are getting the pills are such good fakers.
Someone said on a recent thread, follow the money. I think this is definitely the case here.
I am not sure which is lower, the common drug dealer or the drug companies who are doing the same thing under the guise of legality.
