After eating dinner at Noodles and Company we headed to Target in Apple Valley to pick up some water and the inevitable random items that always end up in your cart from the $1 rack or doggie aisle. Well, after picking up a dog leash anchor to use at the MnGCA Fall Event at Gull Lake Recreation Area we went over towards the camping crap and DVD area.
After a brief stop to look at the underpowered and overpriced Garmin GPS units available, we noticed something that looked a little out of place for September… Christmas! Two aisles of Christmas items at Target! Noooo! It’s not even cold yet! Hell, within the last week it’s been in the 80s! Well, we ended up w/two boxes of Christmas cards anyway ;)
After we escaped the clutches of Kris Kringle we ended up mesmerized by this year’s Halloween section. 1980s TV shows were apparently the theme this year with offerings of Miami Vice, Knight Rider, Dukes of Hazzard, and Magnum P.I. all available between $29.99 and $39.99. A bit steep for me to look like David Hasselhoff but someone must want it. If only they had one that made me look like Roseanne Barr.
Ahhh, how history repeats itself — especially when driven by TV on DVD sales.
