Met up with drat19 for dinner at the deli. Dave had told us on numerous occasions that the food there was excellent and highly recommended by one of his Ukrainian co-workers.
I took the train and met up with Kim at the Government Plaza Station. We rode to the Warehouse District and caught a bus across the river to the deli. We met up with Dave and went in. The wonderful smells reminded me of my childhood at my grandmother’s house. There were quite a few things to choose from and I really had a hard time making up my mind. I finally settled on some stuffed cabbage rolls (various meats), sauerkraut, and some fresh Ukrainian smoked sausage. Kim chose some potato and cheese varenykys (pierogies). Dave had a grilled sausage and who knows what else :)
The stuffed cabbage was sweet and tasty. The sauced drizzled all over it wasn’t something I recognized but something that I was desperately trying to clean up with my pieces of buttered bread. The Ukrainian sausage was phenominal! The sauerkraut was like none I have ever tasted. It wasn’t like the typical stuff you pick up in a jar/can at the grocery store. It was full of flavor and was slightly crunchy. This was one meal I will not soon forget.
After dinner we made a quick stop in their meat market section next door. The selection of freshly made sausages, breads, and pastries was nearly endless. I was quite impressed with their large poppyseed loaves — they were almost as yummy looking as the ones my mother makes. I may just have to come back for one!
If you are ever in Northeast Minneapolis and you have some time for lunch or dinner I seriously suggest you try Kramarczuk’s. You will *not* be disappointed.

I get dumb comments like this all the time. People asking me to get their bills paid for services rendered during construction of restaurants, treating me as if I was the actual restaurant owner even though I’ve privately told them numerous times that I wasn’t, and now I’m having people ask me for directions to a business I posted about years ago.
Well, for those of you that are uninformed about how this site works, let me clear something up for you. If you post something stupid in a comment or send me an e-mail, I will now post it for all the world to see.
Now, for your directions, do what any normal human being would do and search Google Maps here.
If you were able to find MY site why the fuck couldn’t you find the direction? Morons never cease to amaze me.
