After much consideration, I have decided to concede the race and bow out for the good of the party. I was advised by my attorneys that I was within my legal rights to demand a recount, however I am going to take the high road and accept that I have lost this race.

I want to thank all my loyal supporters for their support, votes, and devotion. Without them, I would simply be me.

I formally concede this election to MSPD……err wait………..Reuben.

DM, it’s never too late. Adding comments to last-weeks polls is my new way of recycling old news, since I can’t wrap fish in a laptop.

Bill, I was so outraged at Jorn belittling those of us who get a cheap thrill by staring at the retro waves on the side of the new pedestrian bridge, that I accidentally voted for him. Please change my vote to the McRib one. Shit on a bun……HA!

I was torn between MSPD and Chad’s comments; I recall especially enjoying both those posts. While the SWOT analysis was hilarious, the passages below are jewels, and ultimately swayed my vote for MSPD:

I didn’t vote, because a: I’ve been out of town and just got back and I think it may be too late? and b: the only one that made me laugh was MSPD’s and I just can’t spend a vote for him. This vote is rigged, there’s no good candidates, I feel like I’m not voting for someone, I’m voting against someone.

So I’ll go with my gut and write-in Mr. Solle, my 8th grade social studies teacher.

It was tough. I was stuck between Chad, MSPD, and Reuben. They were each pretty different too. I voted for Chad’s in the end but can’t promise I’d reach the same conclusion if I were to read them again. The comments reminded me why I read LL.

Apple Valley Realtor Named “Awesomest Realtor Ever of the Whole Millenium”

(AP) Apple Valley, Minn.

In a hastily arranged press conference, a very prestigious south Metro (Twin Cities) organization has named Bill Wallace of RE/MAX Apple Valley its first ever “Awesomest Realtor Ever of the Whole Millenium”.

Representing the unnamed organization at the press conference was the head of the organization and prolific diner, blog commenter, and photographer who goes by the moniker “MSPD”. Mr. MSPD attributed the award to a close partnership between his organization and Mr. Wallace, dating back to at least 16 minutes ago.

When asked how Wallace could receive the award despite never having actually sold a home for a client or assisting a client make a sale, MSPD pointed to a computer screen with Wallace’s nifty looking RE/MAX web site on it, as well as noting Wallace’s unwavering support for MSPD’s online endeavors.

“If I was buying or selling a home,” noted MSPD, “I would very highly recommend considering using Mr. Wallace. Not that I would use him…I have a realtor who doesn’t frequent online scuzzholes like LazyLightning.org. But he looks like a nice enough guy, and he has now won an Awesomeness prize from a very prestigious south Metro (Twin Cities) organization.

In related news, the City of Burnsville announced it would be adding a $25,000 one-year membership fee to its 2011 budget to MSPD’s prestigious south Metro (Twin Cities) organization because Mayor Elizabeth Kautz wants “to ensure we, too, remain prestigious.”
