According to this article appearing in SunThisweek, a man in his early 40s raped a 5 year old girl and was sentenced to 20 years probation and credit for 489 days served in jail.
From the article:
Roy faces more than 16 years in prison if he violates the conditions of his probation, which includes having psychiatric evaluation and treatment, registering as a predatory offender and having no contact with the victim or anyone else under age 18.
The young girl, who was Roy’s relative, and her mother told police in April 2011 that Roy engaged in numerous sexual acts, including intercourse, with the girl in 2007 when she was 5 years old.
So, if I understand this correctly, our oh so crime-stopping County Attorney is so tough on crime that he allowed a piece of crap like this, who raped a 5 year old girl, to get off with 20 years of probation and just over a year in jail?! Please, for the love of God, tell me that this happened because they would have had to put the little girl on the stand and make this trial even worse than what this useless shell of a human being already did to her.
This man deserves life in jail without the possibility of parole and he should be housed with the worst in-house raping offender the state can find for the rest of his life, preferably housing him in a bunkhouse with 5 or 6 of them who take turns every single day.
As the father of a young girl, let me warn any pieces of crap like this guy right now: You touch my daughter and you best hope they put you in jail for the rest of your life because it’s one of the few places that will provide you with even one shred of protection from me.
Is 20 years probation and 489 days served in jail enough? Will this guy reoffend or miss the court-mandated items and end up in jail for 16 years (also not anywhere near long enough)? Would you hunt him down and kill him yourself if he did this to your kids? Whatever you have to say about this one go ahead and comment on as I’d love to hear what you have to say.
