From the Star Tribune’s South Metro Police calls:
Now if only I could get the fucking MN AFL-CIO to stop calling me no less than 2x a day:
Fraud. Dispatch put out a call from a female that a male has been calling her residence in the 1800 block of Silver Bell Road claiming she has won $150,000 and that she must pay fees to claim the money. She had told him repeatedly not to call her as she knows it is a scam. She preferred that the officer call her rather than stop by to take the report. Upon calling her she indicated that she knew the caller’s name and that he had been calling her about 2-3 times a week for the past few months.
See the cops can get involved with that shit but due to the politicians allowing campaign calls I am endlessly harassed by “my” union of which I am not (nor ever have been) a member. The first round of calls which numbered between 5 and 7 a week left no information and used caller ID blocking. After I received a piece of unwanted literature in the mail asking for me to support “my” union’s choice to back Al Franken, I received another round of calls that now at least told me that I will be receiving, if I haven’t already, some sort of bullshit flier in the mail.
Now, I called the mothefuckers last night and left them a voicemail to remove my name and phone number from their list and that the only call I better get thereafter was an apology. Instead of the apology that I so rightfully deserve I received two more voicemails from the dickheads telling me to vote for Al.
Listen you stupid fucking douchebags stop calling me now. The only thing you are doing is pissing me the fuck off and making yourselves look awfully stupid. Instead of using a fucking robot to call maybe you should put some of your ever so loyal unionized employees to work and pay them astronomical rates to call me 10x a week — at least then I’ll have some idiot to yell at.
Anyone else getting calls from “your” union that you never a member of? If so, do you really appreciate the constant reminders?

Hey now, unions keep no talent hacks like me employed.

This is the exact reason I do not have a home phone. I got so sick and tired of being on lists, and getting bothered, even while being on the DNC list, that when I moved to my current home, I have my business fax hooked up to the land-line (which is actually going away now too)
The few calls I’ve gotten on my cellphone (as it’s my only line I answer) I’ve politely told them to go and f**k a duck, this is a cellphone, AND on the DNC list.. (that’s breaking two acts now isn’t it?) Anyways, If the number isn’t in my Address Book, it rolls to voice mail. If they don’t leave a message, I let them call back a few more times, eventually pick up the line, wait for the actual person to get o the line, and ream them a new one. It’s a nice little passive aggressive game I like to play, mostly on days when I’m crabby.
Rule Learned: If you’re going to call me, LEAVE A FSCKING MESSAGE or don’t call :)
Back to Bill’s Q: No, no calls from my non-existent union, just random other tards that I don’t care to speak with.

These calls have not been to my home number, only to my mobile phone and apparently the political jackals have allowed those to proceed through unhindered as well.
The worst part is that they leave no contact information at all. It’s seriously as if they are playing a practical joke… “Let’s fucking piss Bill off and see if he’ll put up a rant.” ;-)

Well I call several times a day just to irritate you. It makes me laugh.

I used to be a member of a union and they’re still calling me, but I’ve only been gone from my job for a month. I tried to get them to stop calling me when I was a member though. I don’t take kindly to “choice” disguised as a fee with a different name. *shakes fist*.
My guess is someone used to have your number and never updated it?

dawnmarie, I’ve had this number since 4/2004 and never had a call about political anything before :(

Maybe it was all those lists I put your name on when I was at the State Fair?
