We stopped to eat at Chilis at MSP before our flight. Kimmy ordered breakfast and I went with lunch. I was *so* glad I didn’t have to eat breakfast :) The food wasn’t bad and the neither was the flight. We landed at SEA and needed lunch now that Northwest doesn’t serve *anything* foodwise free.
It was slim pickings near our gate but we settled on the Runway Deli and ordered some sandwiches. They were decent and certainly hit the spot. We didn’t have a lot of time between flights so we headed back to the gate and soon boarded for OGG.
The flight to OGG was uneventful and we got treated to the wonderment that is Herbie: Fully Loaded with Lindsay Lohan. It wasn’t *terrible* but it certainly wasn’t any good.
We arrived in Maui near sunset so we got our rental car (which was a pile of shit — I circled *all* sides of the car as there was something scratched or banged up everywhere) and headed off the 30+ miles to the hotel. We watched the sun set behind nearby islands and were in awe of the changing landscape and gorgeous ocean.
After getting checked-in and our bags dropped off we headed out for dinner. Finding everything nearby to require reservations we settled on Outback (to which Aaron commented, “at least you’re closer to Austrailia!). The food was expensive (one of our most expensive of the trip!) and it wasn’t all that great.
We fell asleep soon after getting back to the hotel and began our adventure!
