Well, “my” copy of Apple Valley Magazine came yesterday and Kim noticed that inside the back page they had a poll for “The Best of 2006 in Apple Valley”. Other places have done best of lists including Mpls St Paul Magazine and MNSpeak. Why shouldn’t I get involved? Right?!?! heh.

Well, the list from Apple Valley Magazine includes “best place for a drink”, “best pizza”, ad nauseum. Well, considering that there are about two choices for every category and that most of those choices are chains anyway, I figured I’d save everyone their time and severe hand cramps and give you a quick run down right here, feel free to post what you believe to be the “Best of Apple Valley” below…
“Best” Pizza: Old Chicago - (Double Deckeroni) - chain.
“Best” Wings: Buffalo Wild Wings - (Smokey Southwest) - chain - and they really aren’t that good!
“Best” Mexican Grill: Fajita’s Southwest Grill - they are just Chipotle copycats w/a crappy bar.
“Best” Asian Buffet: World Buffet - Mongolian BBQ, mmmmm.
“Best” Place for Coffee: Panera Bread - chain - the service after 9am on Sunday sucks, especially that they don’t refill the Hazelnut coffee often enough.
“Best” Mexican Restaurant: El Azteca - Kim threw up in the Sam’s Club parking lot after eating chicken fajitas here, we haven’t been back since.
“Best” Restaurant to Take out of Town Guests to: Enjoy! - It’s expensive enough that we don’t frequent it, so bring your folks along when they come to visit so they can pick up the tab!
“Best” Filet Mignon Breakfast: Rascal’s Apple Valley Bar and Grill - their filet mignon is good at dinner too!
“Best” Place for a Sub: Milio’s - chain - they are kind of expensive, don’t give you the options that Subway does, but they will deliver!
“Best” Place for Beer: Applebee’s - chain - after 9pm they have 10oz drafts for a buck. The service sucks and it’s usually crowded but it’s a buck!
Any others categories? Post em below ;)
