Spent the weekend in the area around Grand Rapids, MN caching with Moe the Sleaze and Oneied Cooky. This weekend, according to the local news, was the peak of the fall colors in this region and they weren’t kidding!
I left my house with OEC at 3:30AM and met up with Moe at 4AM. We arrived in Grand Rapids and stopped for breakfast just before 8AM. After an entire day chock full of caching we were beat and spent the night at a friend’s cabin a couple miles Northeast of Grand Rapids.
On Sunday morning we woke up, had breakfast, and were back at it again until 11:30AM when we made our way back down 169 home.
The colors and the weather were just perfect! It was in the 80s on Saturday and in the low 70s today. This is not exactly “fall weather” in northern Minnesota so I was happy to fully soak every last degree up!
Enjoy all the pictures from this weekend here (Saturday) and here (Sunday).
