Even though I covered the BRT last week, and several weeks before, the Star Tribune finally got around to a boring and pointless little fluff piece that covers almost nothing and includes their standard photo works that look like they were resized, improperly, inline (or as Aaron mentions, like they sharpened the image 20 times). When I read the article, I really enjoyed seeing paragraph icons in the text, almost makes me ignore the bad photos on the website… Way to capture that Internet audience!
2. While Mary Jo Copland won’t be building a “children’s home” in Eagan now, she is still planning on it in the future.
3. Burglary suspect Grayson Lee Clevenger ran from Burnsville detectives and led them and other agencies on a multi-state chase that ended at the University of Minnesota. Allegedly, during the chase, when cops called his mobile phone he reportedly responded, “Dude, I can’t talk, I’m being chased by the police,” and then hung up. There is even crappier coverage of this in the Pioneer Press here.

Mary Jo Copeland travels to Chicago and hangs out at the Cook County welfare office, telling people they should come up to Minneapolis and live, and apply for welfare. True story.
Also, her “children’s home” is nothing more than an institution, and should never ever ever ever be built. We do not have orphanages in the united states, because they do nothing for children. Children need to be in homes, not institutions.
