Hungry child: A 6-year-old boy in the 100 block of Wentworth Avenue West called 911 because his older brother wouldn’t let him have cookies, the older brother reported March 18. Police advised the 6-year-old to call 911 only in an emergency.

Interfering with a 911 call: Police responded March 14 to a 911 hang-up call in the 4800 block of Ashley Lane. A woman at the residence said her boyfriend woke her by cutting her hair with scissors. She said she began pushing and yelling at him and tried to call 911, but he grabbed the phone from her. The 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of interfering with a 911 call.
