I have been having some issues with the GMap module in Drupal (it displays the maps for each writeup). Regardless of what setting I chose in the setup it would zoom all the way in without a way to change it on the map itself.

It appears, after some digging on the GMap module page, that there are now some hardcoded values, for whatever reason, that are causing this.

I took one of their suggestions and updated the values and got it to stop zooming all the way in but there was still no zoom control on the map. I posted this code piece to help everyone else with that problem.

Hopefully they’ll fix it in the next version.
