Chuck and I met up at Crosby Farm Park in St. Paul to go after King Boreas’ Lair of the Three Headed Woman for our milestones (2000th and 1500th respectively).
Chuck had chosen this one as the one we were going to do earlier in the week but I had been told by Arcticabn that this cache was a definite “must do”. I took a look at it and figured it was in one of the caves located along the sandstone bluffs of Crosby but I was only 1/4 correct ;)
We made the 1/2 mile hike in from the main parking lot and saw the beginning of our adventure… A 150 foot deep crevice in the rock wall that was cut by the trickling water at our feet. We scaled our way through the crevice until we reached the ice covered waterfall at the end. After Chuck needlessly risked his life climbing a “ladder” to a ledge above, I found the cache at my feet ;)
I spent quite a bit more time trying to shimmy my way out of the crevice much to Chuck’s pleasure.
After we left that cache we walked the entire park and I ended up picking up 13 caches for the day. Not bad for 3.5 hours and not moving the car once!
See the pictures from today here (camera) and here (mobile) and Chuck’s picture of me in the crevice here.
