Out at Groveland Tap with Aaron and a bunch of other for Aaron’s 27th birthday.
I hung out for the first time with Aaron two years ago on this day, *tears of joy*. Geeseven would have been proud as I made a huge PBR pyramid while briz threw matches at me ;)
Tonight, I ordered the fried pickles to start. They were extremely tasty and came with ranch for dipping. Kim, even though she gave me a weird look when I said I wanted to order them, ended up agreeing that they owned. In the past, when I’ve ordered fried pickles, they’ve come out as whole pickles. The Groveland Tap’s method was to use sliced one. Very yummy!
Kim and I both ordered their Juicy Lucy’s. A Juicy Lucy is a hamburger stuffed with cheeses and other treats and then cooked until the cheese is all melted and yummy. I went with the Cajun Lucy (Monterey Jack cheese and jalapenos) and Kim went with their standard cheddar filled Lucy. They were very good and even w/all the warnings about how hot they would be, I had no problems scarfing my burger down in short order.
We spent the rest of the night drinking various beers including a tallboy of PBR. I just had to in memory of 2004! :)
