I had a friend e-mail me one of those stupid fucking e-mails about answering some questions to determine what kind of person you are. I hate those and used to have procmail put that shit in /dev/null. I apparently lost some filtering somewhere along the way because it showed up today.
In an attempt to one up this e-mailing douchebag, I figured I’d search around on the net for something that might actually tell myself a little about me. I found one of those stupid “Are you a dork, nerd, geek” tests here.
I have always been somewhat proud of my knowledge of Linux, computers, history, trivia, etc and that I can, for the most part, spell properly. I always figured I was on the “geeky” side of shit but I preferred the term “dork” over the other choices.
I took the test and found out that I fucking suck when it comes to being the Alpha Dork Male as that test rated me Joe Normal at 47 % Nerd, 34% Geek, 21% Dork.
A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.

Outcast geniuses usually are bright enough to understand what society
wants of them, and they just don’t care! They are highly intelligent
and passionate about the things they know are *truly* important in the

their friends combined in that subject).
Outcast geniuses can be very lonely, due to their being outcast from
most normal groups and too smart for the room among many other types
