Well, Kim and I both went for our Saturday morning swim. I had planned out a nice set for myself and figured I’d be well within the 55 minutes permitted. That would of course if I could count. Unfortunately for me, math was never my specialty :( I had planned on doing about 3400 yards with some varying sets that wouldn’t have left me bored. Problem was that I neglected to count the number of yards for the first main set and mis-read it while in the pool and ended up doing quite a bit more yards there than I was supposed to…
Disappointed, realizing my mistake, I had to shorten the second main set and hurry my warm down in order to make it out of the pool on time:
200 S/K/P/S 800
1 x 200 K 4:00 (4/8th 25 fast) 200
Repeat Four Times: 800
1 x 100 D 2:15 (RIMO)
2 x 50 S 1:00 (Fast)
Main Set Repeat Three Times:
4 x 50 S/IMO 1:00
1 x 100 S/IMO 4:00
900
1 x 200 WD 200
2900
My first day under 3000 — at least I felt fairly good after the soreness came out in warmup. Hopefully I won’t make this mistake again!
