Kim’s parents bought us the rest of our bedroom set for our wedding gift. We purchased them last weekend hoping they would be less money during Ikea’s Summer Sale. We weren’t so lucky… Well, because they were taking up space in the garage and I do like to park the car there we needed to get them put together. The “fun” started Sunday evening around 5:00pm and ended this afternoon around 3:30pm.

We started with the “woman’s chest”. The entire process for that only took about 4.5 hours but we broke some of the pieces necessary to finish the final drawer so we had to wait until Monday morning to get those replaced. It was a bit of a pain and I’m very disappointed that such little turning force could break these pieces but what can I do about it except complain on the web?

After returning from Ikea this morning I was in the mood to get the “man’s chest” done. Kim was in no such mood but I really didn’t care. So we started that. Luckily, with the experience under our belt from yesterday, this task took a little over two hours. Woohoo.
The bedroom seems both smaller and larger (depending on your location in the room). I guess it’s nice having matching shit but I’m more of the “cheap school” than the “matching school”. At least my TV is good ;)
