Similar to what we did at the end of 2009 and 2010 I am putting up a slew of comments which were penned in 2011 to a vote to determine which is the best of the year. The winner has the choice of eating lunch with me at a location of my choosing (on me) or a $10 gift certificate to some SOTR restaurant I can find to agree to fork over a freebie ;-)
While technically MSPD had 3 of the top 5 (5 of the top 10) who wants to see him get multiple chances to win (not like it would help him win anyway)? Also, Gene Suh, owner of Valley Tap had the most votes at 17 but I deemed him ineligible for a win. As such the comments below were selected by taking the top 5 distinct user rated comments for the year (up votes minus down votes). There were several ties (a two way for 1st and a three way for 4th place) and as such 6 total comments are up for voting.

I wonder if there was someone with Lefty’s job at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks? And I wonder if they kept the position once the city dumped Venuworks and hired all of the Venuworks employees to do the same lousy job they were doing before?
Although as I understand it, Venuworks isn’t completely gone from the Alerus Center as they are handling the liquor sales. The city isn’t allowed to do that.
So will Burnsville follow the lead of Grand Forks and effectively do nothing? We’ll need an updated schedule if that does happen Lefty.

Got to go with Dave if at least for the reason of raising the visibility of one possible right way for business owners to post. Shockingly, such owners seem to need way too many hints.
Kelly’s was a close second, as I pictured the comment being typed as she was giving her husband “the look”.

For the record, I must say that MSPD probably had the top ten comments of the year, ones that for some reason didn’t get good votes…probably because I thumbed them down from all 18 of my IP portals out of spite.
I do agree with him, his comment on this thread sucks.
