(fyi - douching went out in the 70s, so I'm not sure that it is accurate to use that phrase).

It's apparent that you are aging and becoming out of touch. "Douchebag" is very in. It's like PBR.

Further proof that "douchebag" is in: MadTV last night and 'Til Death tonight. Wonderful uses of the word.

I love proving other douchebags wrong about the word douchebag. Mmm.

Hey Theresa - would love to see you pics on the concert. If everybody would step away from themselves for just a moment and get to know these guys....they have more spirit and soul as human beings then I have seen in a long time. Just sit back, not worry about the t-shirt, autograph, pic you might get and just enjoy. They will send something to your very core.
Peace

My husband and I were sitting in front of you by the large red horse sign (my aged mind forgets what corporate symbol that is).

I saw your picture on your site and I recogized you and your location (Mobil gas IIRC).

Douchebag is impolite and an insult to women, no matter how "popular" it is. Who cares if it is popular to talk that way?

So is bitch, slut, whore, cunt, and skank -- words I use frequently when deserved. Doesn't make a difference to me. They're just words -- I suggest that you get over it, seriously.

I just hope you learn to appreciate all ages of people some day.

I appreciate people who deserve to be appreciated. Old bags acting like horny teenagers disrupting a show for the "normal" people deserve to be called out on their behavior and "appreciated" in the manner I did.

Also, what do you think of Elliott? And yeah, okay, he looks like a troll. He had the best voice on that show and was the only reason I ever watched it in the first place. And so the only guy with a natural gift doesn't get the record deal and it pisses me off.

Well, if Elliott were the one that won it all, I wouldn't be here today dealing with a handful of self-righteous old bags from another website whining that they are being labelled as old.

I didn't care for anyone on the show, minus the hottie, because frankly, they all fucking sucked. At least the hottie had great tits and an ass that was just begging to be spanked. Taylor, OTOH, was only on my TV because Kim was into him.

But while the hottie is on the fastrack to nowhere (just like every other fucking "Idol"), Taylor has proven to me that he is a real musician and not some overprocessed, Fox computer aided, piece of shit. He should be *thrilled* with that compliment.

Good comments on smarmy AI overproduced packaging. I'm not a big Taylor fan--could the manufactured song be worse? But he's someone different with his band. Like he can say fuckin' and be more real. The O'Gara's Taylor is way more interesting and proficient than he was at the AI show. And frankly I could care less if grandmas and old bags like or dislike certain music. His band is good and he's smart to keep them as his entourage and keep him in the real music scene. I'm afraid his CD will be full of more shit like Do I Make You Proud...don't know how he can sing that with a straight face. Also, what do you think of Elliott? And yeah, okay, he looks like a troll. He bucked Clive Davis and I think it was a set-up all along. Everything's money in music these days. Now Clive--he's an old bag for sure.

So where were all the male douchebags over 45, huh?

I think you are mischaracterizing the Taylor Hicks fans at the show by the few you saw leave.

I am not mistaken, as you apparently are, by the numbers that left the show.

My husband and I stayed back at the table because I'm not one to appear to be a groupie, so I had a good look at the crowd the entire night.

We were the furthest back, in front of the soundboard, only beat out by those at the bar. Believe me, we had the best vantage point of the entire crowd for the entire show.

(fyi - douching went out in the 70s, so I'm not sure that it is accurate to use that phrase).

I just wish you would try to get to know people before making such harsh judgements in a public forum.

If by that you mean me properly identifying "Debs" a troll, she certainly deserved it as proven by her lame attacks and blatant disregard for the rules that those regulars apparently abide by.

Bill,

Thanks for your rebuttal on MJ's site. I am the one who alerted her to your interesting take on the show. I did know ahead of time that Taylor would likely be there, but I came to the show anyway knowing that was just a possibility. I will also come to their show should they venture north again. I think you are mischaracterizing the Taylor Hicks fans at the show by the few you saw leave. I know the type of woman you are talking about and I'm not thrilled that they also like Taylor Hicks' music. I stayed until 2:30am and there were still lots of people at that time. My husband and I stayed back at the table because I'm not one to appear to be a groupie, so I had a good look at the crowd the entire night. I also took photos from my back position and don't see a huge exodus as the night went on. I will admit to screaming when Taylor came on stage; does that make me a douchebag? (fyi - douching went out in the 70s, so I'm not sure that it is accurate to use that phrase). I just wish you would try to get to know people before making such harsh judgements in a public forum. I am trying not to judge you since I don't know you.

Peace.

You and I experienced an amazing night of largely incredible music for $14. Unbefreakinglievable. I'm forever thankful.

It would seem to me that you are not a regular concert-goer. If you were, uou would realize that there are *tons* of excellent shows out there for less than $14.

I think you mean "intimate" and not "unbefreakinglievable".

I was there and I think you missed the boat. It was a fantastic show. They're an amazing band and they were even more amazing with Hicks on stage. Who cares about the fans who didn't understand the musical talent they were watching? Sounds like you didn't get it either. I stayed for every moment. You and I experienced an amazing night of largely incredible music for $14. Unbefreakinglievable. I'm forever thankful.
