Kim and I got up early and went over to the Apple Valley Municipal Center off of Galaxie (next to the Dakota County Western Service Center) and were prepared to wait a while to vote.
Unfortunately (or fortunately?) the lines were non-existent compared to the high turnout seen by Aaron this morning for voting in Minneapolis.
Kim and I had to re-register to vote as we moved since the last election and we were in and out in less than 10 minutes. There were several voting slots open (as opposed to people voting outside of them in Aaron’s neck) and I honestly believe there were more election officials present than voters.
What a difference 16 miles makes.

A lot of people at work, not Apple Valley obviously, were saying that they were going at lunch or after work.
I don’t get home until 6:45 and I didn’t want to vote that late.
