Kim and I, tired from our long day of doing very little because of the snow day, decided to head out to dinner tonight.

We have eaten at Rascals Apple Valley Bar & Grill a bunch of times before (see here) and Aaron, Kim, and I headed over there back in January for my birthday. They have a great deal on Monday nights, in the bar, where they will let you play all their video games for free from like 9pm till 11pm. I’ve never been anywhere that gave you free cash and kept asking if you needed more!
Anyway, tonight we were originally going to head over to Noodles & Company in Apple Valley but finding the parking lot full (and even moreso at Applebee’s) we finally found a spot at Rascals. We were quickly running out of options we were in the mood for (although I’m really itching to get over to Osaka Seafood and Steakhouse near the TCF and the ever famous Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers).

We walked in to a nearly packed house. We were quickly seated and our orders taken promptly. We went with their “Pound of Wings” (Buffalo) and ordered extra blu cheese so we could easily share. I also ordered their roasted pork tenderloins with a loaded baked potato and Kim ordered a salad/soup combo with French onion soup.
Our wing order was *huge* and their extra blu cheese was also quite big. Normally Rascals charges for extras like their seasoned sour cream but they didn’t charge us for the extra blu-cheese. The wings were $8.95 but they are definitely one of the best in Apple Valley. The only better deal you will find is at Majors Sports Cafe on Wednesday nights (.25 wings).
Or food came out quickly and Kim was very impressed with her French onion soup. While I didn’t taste it, it appeared quite similar to what was offered at Houlihan’s in Eagan.

My meal was “ok”. The baked potato was loaded for free (which was a nice touch) and while the pork and veggies were good they ruined it by pouring brown gravy all over top. This was obviously my fault as I didn’t pay enough attention to the menu to see this gravy option (I still don’t remember seeing it) but I think it would have been much better w/o.
I boxed up most of my dinner meal, being full from the wings, and will end up eating that for lunch tomorrow before the Minnesota RollerGirls match. Woot.
See all the pictures from tonight here (camera).
