Last week’s poll asked about how you liked your potatoes cooked while some said they love potatoes every which way, one curmudgeon said he hates them all. However, the highlight of the entire poll was the response by Marty giving a step by step method for making the best hashbrowns ever. Can’t wait to try them out for Sunday morning breakfast today!
This week’s poll comes after I rented two movies for Saturday night: The Green Lantern and Water for Elephants. While The Wife and I had previously read Water for Elephants and were interested in seeing the movie, my reasons for The Green Lantern were simply to enjoy some mindless entertainment. After paying the increased rates when buying at the Redbox kiosk (we usually pay $1 because I reserve online) and whining about the price, I realized just how much we were saving by not seeing movies in the theater.
The last movie we saw in the theater together was Hot Tub Time Machine soon after The Rooman was born. The Wife has seen a few with her mommy group but I have been just biding my time until they come out on DVD and/or Netflix. I just can’t justify a $20 night out to see what, in many cases, isn’t worth the $1.07 we pay at Redbox.
The question for this week is how many times have you been to the theater in the last year. Do you go regularly or do you generally wait for the movies to come out for home theaters instead? Do you think that it’s worth paying the high ticket prices when home theaters have come as far as they have? Whatever you have to say about this one vote on the sidebar and then comment on below. After you do both of those things feel free to check out our expired polls in the archive or read through the previous posts about polls here.
