Kim and I joined up with Josh, Chris and Laura to watch the Super Bowl at their house in Bloomington. I spent Saturday morning cooking chili and baking rolled oat and honey bread. I also made too small of a portion of blue cheese dip which ended up being a fairly big hit yesterday.
Kim and I were supposed to meet up with Josh at our house and then go up to Chris and Laura’s from there but Josh had to run an errand and he instead ended up driving to their house himself. He was in charge of beer so his arrival time was crucial heh!
We spent the afternoon eating some great food, playing bean bags, watching the game and the overly expensive commercials (most of which sucked) while Kim and Laura baked cookies from scratch (some of which were VERY good I must say). I paid little attention to the game being that I thought it was obvious who would win; I was wrong.
Kim drove home and we watched The Naked Gun before heading to bed entirely too late. I woke up and drove Josh up to Bloomington to grab his car just as the snow started to come down pretty hard. Bleh!
Kim and I are off to see Dark Star Orchestra at the Guthrie tonight. It’s our first time to the Guthrie (in any version) and I’m looking forward to it — well, minus the snarling traffic I will encounter :(
