I wrote last week that I can’t wait for Twins season and I’m not the only one. We have already purchased tickets to several games including one tonight. Unless you live outside of MN or under a rock, you know that Minnesota is expecting several inches of snow today and apparently the shitty sleet has already started to come down.
What I want to know is why people are interested in purchasing a new stadium that doesn’t have a retractable roof? Yes, I realize that the new open-air stadium is projected to cost a ton but at least fucking do it right.
I can tell you right now that I would not be driving to the game tonight if I had to sit through sleet and snow. I have a feeling that during the playoffs, when snow is possible and freezing temperatures are guaranteed, no one will want to do that either. Baseball is the game of spring and summer. Baseball fans are not like NFL fans who happily freeze their asses off while keeping their beers cold huddled around fire filled fifty-five gallon drums in the parking lots. BAH!
I really wish that people would think a little before going out and trying to remain on schedule for something that is going to suck.
