Had some issues after a power failure knocked out the UPS and the DSL. When the server started back up the ACPI was killing the CPU fan and causing the machine to overheat and then shutdown.
After bringing the machine back up it wasn’t starting the local interfaces automatically as it is setup to and I have to start them manually. Bleh!
I still haven’t fixed it all but it’s working well enough to run. Looks like in addition to a new HD I’ll have to get a new UPS with a longer battery backup life — this one is shot.
Oh well.
