Finally starting to get “the itch” back about geocaching. With the Fall Elections set and ready to happen on 10/7/06, I’m starting to feel good about being done after two years of putting up with an untold amount of shit from asshole geocachers.
Chuck had sent me an SMS earlier this week saying that his position as approver was sucking. People were being morons and dickfaces and he was tired of it. I figured if I met up w/him over some food/beer that it would make it all better ;) sir_zman had posted a WeekNIGHT Caching outing up in North St Paul/Maplewood and that fit in with exactly what Moe and I wanted to do.
I had three more caches to do before I hit #2200 (yes Moe, I know that’s not a real milestone after 1000) and I wanted to do that one in California when Kim and I go and visit there soon. Two caches, food, and beer. Perfect.
I met Chuck at Donatelli’s in White Bear Lake at around 6 right after I got off of work. I ordered their chicken parmigiana and I don’t know what Chuck had. Some kind of stuffed raviolis or something.
Always great food at Donatelli’s (I eat there w/Aaron a lot during lunch) and the service was awesome as always! A definite must see location in White Bear.
Anyway, after food, we headed over to the cache area. We arrived about 45 mins early and found the cache before everyone else arrived. It made for some interesting ownage when they were looking for it ;)
After two caches I headed over to Buffalo Wild Wings (BW3) in the Maplewood Mall and grabbed a table for 8. I got some annoyed looks from those that were behind me as I took up an entire table with only me ;) The rest of the guys finished a third cache and joined me soon after.
I don’t really care for their wings at BW3 anymore. The meatiness just isn’t there and they have recently done away with their sauces that I enjoyed most :(
The beer was ok (Guinness of course) but the waitress tried to get me to drink their montly special (Labatt Blue) which was $4.10! WTF is that? I’ll only drink “Canadian Corona” when it’s less than the real beers.
Anyway, a good time was had by all. Thanks again guys!
See all the pictures from tonight here (mobile).
