After another “busy” day of sitting on the beach, we went out (for what seemed like the 100th time) to the Wild Wing Cafe. My family has been going to the Wild Wing Cafe for what seems like years now. I think that they opened in the early 1990s on the Island and they now have another location nearby. They also boast of other locations in Atlanta and Virginia but I couldn’t give two shits about them.
In the past I used to love ordering their hot wings but recently I have been a gigantic pussy when it comes to hot foods so I have gone to their less exciting fare. I think I ordered one wing that was “three stars” and something else like “Hot BBQ”.
When we had been there to meet Jess and Matt on Saturday night they had some shitty band playing that was *so* loud we had to sit outside in the unbearable heat just so we could talk w/o screaming. Some douchebag noticed that I was staring in disbelief at the “band” and said, “yeah man, don’t they fuckin’ rock?!” Yeah douchebag, totally.
Anyway, Tuesday was fairly busy and Matt, Josh, and I sat at the bar while the girls shopped at Coligny. They thought we’d put our names in and by the time they arrived at the bar that we would soon have a table. Unfortunately I didn’t put our names in until about 10 minutes before the girls arrived so we sat around drinking for another hour ;) And they thought it was a mistake ;)
The service was good, the food was good (far better than what you can get at Buffalo Wild Wings in Apple Valley, and the beer was great (Yuengling, if you’re listening, sell your beer here!)
Anyway, a great night with friends and food. Yum!
